Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Maryam Karimi
Is a nonprofit leader and education advocate dedicated to expanding opportunity for underserved children and families.
She founded Educate a Child for Change Organization (ECCO) in 2021 to empower children and families through education, youth leadership, mentorship, economic development, integration, wellness, and community engagement—ensuring every child, regardless of background, has the tools to learn, grow, and thrive. ECCO was officially granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status on October 30, 2024.
Maryam earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics from University of California, Berkeley (2019–2024), where she was awarded the Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in International Comparative Education (ICE) / International Education Policy Analysis (IEPA) at Stanford University, expected June 2026.
Through her leadership, Maryam continues to build education-centered initiatives that strengthen communities and create lasting impact.
